Program Leadership & Qualifications
Our Savior’s kindergarten program is directed by Karen Thompson, lead kindergarten teacher. She has taught kindergarten for the last 10 years in public school and comes to us with excellent qualifications and lots of hands-on experience. Up until 2022, Karen was a lead kindergarten teacher in Plano ISD. Karen is certified to teach early childhood through sixth grade with special certifications in English Language Learners (ESL), Gifted and Talented, and reading specialization, having completed a special course to teach reading to beginning readers. She is passionate about teaching and about inspiring the joy of learning.
Learning Environment & Growth
At Our Savior, children are immersed in a joyful setting where they can explore, discover and bloom. Since the opening of our kindergarten in 2022, the kindergarten has doubled and tripled, and now we have two adjoining, collaborative, classrooms with low ratios and individualized instruction led by outstanding, credentialed educators under Karen’s leadership. The kindergarten team consists of Karen Thompson and Lynda Blaylock, teachers, and assistants, Patrice Macero and Lynda Sheifele. The team’s joy, enthusiasm and their genuine love for children help create the perfect learning environment to master skills and have fun in the process!
Curriculum & Instructional Approach
We have a rigorous curriculum based on Texas Education standards, high expectations, lower ratios, faith-based teaching, and lots of fun learning to master kindergarten and first grade knowledge and skills to be ready for the challenges and adventures of first grade.
Tuition & Fees -2026-2027 Private Kindergarten Program Costs
Registration is $510.00 one time a year for registration and supply fee combined, and $610.00 monthly tuition. Our program offers extended care for working parents who want to extend the day. Extended hours are $9.20 per hour for before and after school hours. (Any time before 8:45 am or after 2:15 pm.) No prearrangement is necessary, and you are only charged for the minutes you use.
Daily Schedule & Extended Care
School hours are 8:45–2:15, Monday through Friday. The extended care program requires no prearrangement and is in operation from 7:00 am until 8:45 and 2:15 until 5:30 pm. You can drop off or pick up any time during extended care hours. The regular preschool program begins at 8:45 am until 2:15 pm.
Enrollment Information

Now is the time to start planning for next year! Feel free to schedule a tour of our program in January or anytime after, as long as we have places available.
